Day 6: Wed. June 16

Good news! I forgot to mention last night that Quincy DID get his luggage! Just in time to leave for Kajairdo this morning. The Kajairdo team got moving around 6:30 this morning and the rest of us have been working on the chapel, and at the orphanage holding babies. Just thought I'd put a short post on here right now and will post more later.

By the way, I didn't mean to misinform anyone but there is NOT a Wal-Mart here! I was being sarcastic, but there is a smaller walmartish-TYPE of store that we can go to for some basic items. In fact, Jon and I will be taking the kids into town this afternoon for an hour or so as a treat and a break from all their hard work.

Posting a few pictures from today so far. The babies in the side by side walkers pictured are Ruth and Naomi - the twins that came in last year while our group was here. They are one and doing well. Their big brother, Lucky is also still at the orphanage but is at primary school until 4 and their big sister, Tina is now at Machakos boarding school. Amber Marshall ran into her the other day and reported that she is doing very well and is joyous and happy this year.

Back to work!
