Day 6: Wed. June 16 - Part 2

Okay - Attempt #2 at Blog part 2. I'm going to make this fast since the power has gone out twice now after about 30 minutes of typing. :)

I posted photos earlier from our time at the orphanage and a couple from working. I am sure the other team has made it to Kajairdo by now and should be settled in for the night. We will call Mary Ndungu to confirm in just a few minutes.

Our group finished the last half of our day with a quick trip to the local market and then some more door to door evangelism. I had a great story typed about it, but I don't think I will retype it again tonight. :) Now we are about to have our group meeting and head to bed.

Tomorrow we will be sending a few more to the orphanage while the rest work on the chapel in the morning and then the whole group will be visiting the school for Disabled in the afternoon.

Hope all are well at home. Everyone here is feeling fine and doing well. Sorry for the short posting but don't want to risk another power surge. Goodnight!

  2. Needed to pass along this message I received via text:
"Mrs. Azevedo says hi to Mr. Azevedo from South Dakota and I miss u."

(I think this is the first time they have both traveled at the same time.)

  3. Everytime I post from my iPhone, it does not show up....I really have been writing!

It looks like Lauren W had her hands full. I bet she was loving it! BTW Brittany's Dino Dig didn't include any digging. There was so much rain that they couldn't get down the road to the ranch. They decided to spend more time in South Dakota. She wants to go again next year. Corey has already left for his soccer tournament. Praying for all of you. Love, Mom (aka, Mrs. W.)

  6. Ryan,
Are you OK? I just wrote you, but I'm not sure it was sent?
Jenni mentioned several of you had upset stomachs, and didn't see you name list on any of the groups heading out that day.
Are you OK? How is your food holding up??
We are lifting each one of you up in prayer so many times a day. Jenni, thank you for keeping us informed on daily activities so we know specifically what to pray for.
    Keep the faith!

  9. I always look forward to reading the post and seeing what God is doing though each of you! I really think it was neat that you were able to give the teachers a little gift to thank them for their faithfulness to these children who have great needs. Many times it is the small things we do
or say that can impact a person! May God continue to give you health
and miracles! I see that many of the students I have taught are on the team this year!
